The 3rd Rare Diseases Symposium, organized by the Ankara University Rare Diseases Application and Research Center on February 27, 2026, comprehensively addressed integrated national solutions for rare diseases in Turkey, interdisciplinary approaches to Fabry disease, hypophosphatasia diagnosis, targeted therapies in neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis, and hereditary angioedema cases. The scientific program also delivered critical insights into the patient journey in cystic fibrosis, the clinical utility of long-read sequencing technologies in diagnostics, early screening algorithms, and current research regarding lysosomal storage disorders.
